Mediceuticals Hair Scan

A Mediceuticals hair scan is a non-invasive, in-salon diagnostic procedure using a specialised microscope camera (Mediscope). Magnifying up to 200x, it provides a highly detailed, magnified view of individual hair follicles, hair density, & scalp health to identify the root causes of hair and scalp problems.

The Scanning Procedure

Initial Consultation: A certified Mediceuticals specialist will discuss your medical history, hair care routine, & specific concerns (e.g., hair thinning, oily scalp, dandruff).

Imaging: The technician gently places the Mediscope camera on various parts of your scalp (like the crown, hairline, & nape).

Real-Time Analysis: The magnified images are displayed on a screen, allowing you to see the actual state of your hair roots & scalp. The specialist evaluates for:

  • Clogged or damaged follicles: Buildup of dead skin cells, sebum, or product residue.
  • Scalp conditions: Redness, irritation, psoriasis, or dermatitis.
  • Hair density: The thickness & active growth status of your hair strands.

Tailored Diagnosis & Recommendation: Based on the scan findings, the specialist prescribes a highly specific, clinical home-care kit & salon treatment (such as a Scalp Treatment Kit, Saturate Shampoo, or Numinox Revitalizer) tailored to your needs.
